Senior Projects Officer in Mathematics, Lecturer in Mathematics Education
I completed my undergraduate degree in Physical Education and Mathematics teaching before completing a PhD under the supervision of Prof. John O’Donoghue and Dr Olivia Fitzmaurice focussed on the area of the knowledge required for mathematics teaching. I am currently undertaking a Masters in Mathematical Modelling with MACSI here in UL.
My research interests include the time allocated to mathematics in secondary school, developing innovative resources for second level mathematics classes, mathematics teachers’ subject knowledge and conceptual understanding and the development of mathematical modelling modules for second level students.
