Pint of Science May 18th & 19th – a worldwide event where scientists doff their white coats and head to the pubs to tell their research tales.

pint-scienceUL personnel from across the faculties are organising an event named Pint of Science in Limerick on Monday, May 18th in the Locke Bar and Tuesday, May 19th in the White House.

The Limerick evenings will cover Health, Environment and Technology with topics including; Computers dreaming of electric music; Brains R Us; Health’s contribution to the health of the Irish economy; Bringing Maths Eyes to the masses; and Flying to the moon. The science talks will be delivered in interesting, engaging and approachable ways and a question and answers panel discussion will be opened up to the pub at the end of the night.

Outside of Limerick, Pint of Science events are taking place in Dublin, Cork and Galway and across the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, USA and Australia.
