WELCOME TO THE EPI•STEM ACADEMY OF STEM TEACHERS
Are you teaching SCIENCE and/or MATHEMATICS and/or TECHNOLOGY and/or ENGINEERING to young people in a post-primary school in Ireland? Are you interested in new approaches to teaching STEM, integrated-STEM and STEAM across the curriculum?
If yes, then please register below to join our on-line EPI•STEM ACADEMY OF STEM TEACHERS. We will provide you with access to our growing repository of free on-line CPD RESOURCES for teaching STEM related topics in Junior Cycle and Senior Cycle, including in Transition Year. In addition, we will invite you to future CPD events in UL.
The CPD RESOURCES are adaptations of research-led teaching and learning approaches from version 1 of our Professional Diploma in Mathematics for Teaching (PDMT V1), together with the design expertise of a research design team of STEM teacher educators and practicing teachers in EPI•STEM, funded by the HEA (2020-2022).
The CPD resources are readily adapted for classroom use. They include slides with voice over, and links to interesting website to help you teach STEM subjects for understanding and for pedagogical inclusion.
We invite you below to download our ECOLOGY booklet. This science booklet is a collection of podcasts/slides with links to a rich variety of classroom resources that you can adapt. We have another four Science related CPD booklets that you will find in the Science section.
You can access and download the podcasts and all the CPD resources by registering to join our on-line EPI•STEM ACADEMY OF STEM TEACHERS today. If you encounter any difficulty registering then please email Helen Fitzgerald, Senior Executive Administrator Helen.Fitzgerald@ul.ie.
