New continuous professional development (CPD) resources for science teaching has been produced at EPI-STEM. The work stems from a project led by Professor Sibel Erduran with participation of colleagues from Bogazici University, Turkey and University of Delaware, USA. The project aimed to infuse scientific practices in pre-service science teacher education by engaging the participants in scientific practices such as evidence-based reasoning and modelling in a coherent and holistic fashion. "Scientific practices” has become an influential topic in science education worldwide, particularly since the publication of the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) in the USA.
