Liam Guilfoyle

I am currently a PhD candidate and my research focuses on pre-service science teachers’ personal epistemologies and perceptions of educational theory, under the supervision of Prof. Sibel Erduran and Dr. Orla McCormack.

I am curious about how science teachers’ thinking changes over time and with experience, as they transition from their pre-service teacher education and become newly qualified teachers. My interest in this research area began while completing a final year research project as an undergraduate student of Science Education in UL.
