Professor David Tanner

David Tanner is a Professor in Manufacturing Process Technology at the University of Limerick.  He undertakes research in the areas of finite element analysis of metal working processes, additive manufacturing, and investment casting as a member of the faculty’s Bernal Institute. Prof. Tanner has been an active member of the CDIO network since 2009 and has developed engineering modules based on the principles of CDIO.  He has published over 70 peer reviewed journal articles and supervised ten doctoral students to completion.
